Rule Risk and Save Lives is the mission at AACI. This concept serves to guide us in our efforts to improve healthcare services and the safety, well-being, and quality of life of all customers with whom we engage. In order to continually serve our stakeholders, clients and their customers we have revised, updated, and improved version 1.0. which has served for 7 years. In that period, advances in scientific thought and healthcare concepts now require a step forward in the methods and guidance required for meeting and leading dental facilities into the future. This new version 2.0 of the AACI International Accreditation Standards for Dental Facilities has been prepared by AACI Standard Development Committee and contains all the standards and notes needed for the AACI accreditation process.
This standard is intended to provide requirements for restorative, orthodontic, and endodontic dental practices.
The AACI International Accreditation Standards for Dental Organizations have been developed through an extensive process involving a review of the international and national evidence, consultation with key stakeholders, and the establishment of an advisory group. Additionally, we wish to acknowledge ISQua whose input has been invaluable in terms of identifying patient’s needs from a world view. It has also brought focus upon the impact that the dental organizations bring to bear on the social structure and economic enterprise of their surrounding communities. This standard is based on the recommendations and policy of multiple worldwide, respected authorities who maintain and determine current and ongoing standards of care. We wish to thank all our contributors for their input in achieving this formidable task.
AACI will continue to evolve our standard as interested parties request improvements, corrections are required, and standards of care change. AACI welcomes your advice as well. Please submit written comments, suggestions, and remarks to AACI accordingly. The AACI Standard serves as a handbook for surveyors and for dental organizations seeking international accreditation. We strive to continuously improve our product for the satisfaction of all users.
